A November Morning in Leicestershire 4/5

Parish Church of Holy Trinity, Thrussington

I don't drive much these days so a friend took me out on 24th.November last and this short series is just a few shots from that journey round mid and eastern Leicestershire.

As with the church at Syston I posted a picture of on Monday I can't find out much about this delightful church on the banks of the River Wreake that I showed you yesterday. Sadly, being a village, the church was locked so I couldn't get as much as a glimpse of the inside.

What is obvious from this shot and the earlier ones this week is the glorious late November lighting that morning.

The "heavy" garden is wonderful, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes with the church behind and yesterdays little river to the side, very rural.

You were very lucky with the weather Brian
Brian Walbey: It was a lovely morning but tomorrow you will see that it clouded over a bit.
It looks a delightful church in the November sunshine Brian
Brian Walbey: It is Bill, it was just a shame it was locked, but understandable considering it is not surrounded by much in the way of houses etc.
more excellent images Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.

you gotta love those castles there
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chantal, thanks.
A beautiful clear capture Brian. A very beautiful church. Would make a lovely postcard. Very well captured.
Brian Walbey: Many thanks Laurette.

An idyllic English scene, Brian. A joy to behold and I can't wait for autumn again!
Brian Walbey: It is Alan, I hope we get a decent bit of spring and summer first to be honest.
Great light again, a good day.
Brian Walbey: It was indeed John, but it turned a bit dull as you will see tomorrow.
A gentle & peaceful scene, Brian. Lovely image of an English village church and grounds.
Brian Walbey: I suspect this is how people overseas think of an English village Beverly, an indeed there are many like this.
And a lovely morning it was, too- nicely captured!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom, it certainly was a lovely morning.
Lovely warm coloured stone Brian. Makes a change from grey
Brian Walbey: It has been a bit like this today, sadly I didn't have my camera with me.
Great typically English scene. I'm back in town now Brian after a visit to France. I find these new anti spam codes a bind also my country of origin keeps reverting to Germany.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin. Sorry you have some problems.

And look at the pampas grass, too! smile This really is beautiful, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I thought you'd like this Ginnie which is why I dropped you a gentle hint to look at it.
