photoblog image Chirk Gardens 5/5

Chirk Gardens 5/5

On the way home from Porthmadog, North Wales last September we stopped off at the National Trust property at Chirk Castle and for three weeks I am featuring a series of shots I took there on three different themes, this being the final week.

To finish this three week series on Chirk Castle and gardens this is the view at the far end of the garden  looking out over the countryside in the direction of Shrewsbury I believe.  Certainly one can see for miles on a clear day, which it was during our visit.

To remind you the website for Chirk Castle is here

So that is everything from our visit to North Wales, you have been very patient and kind with your comments over these past few weeks, on Monday I move on to places nearer to my home.

You can now view the two sets of latest competition winning images from my camera club here

Great picture, places like this are so soulful for me, the view is amazing.
Brian Walbey: Ys it is a lovely view Astrid and there are other such lovely ones from other areas of the grounds and parkland.
To have a Welsh castle of such a venerable age that is still occupied and available to the public is something I can only dream of, Brian. This has certainly been a marvellous & informative series. Well done!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Bevely, I'm so glad you enjoyed the series.
