Chirk People 1/5

On the way home from Porthmadog, North Wales last September we stopped off at the National Trust property at Chirk Castle and for three weeks I am featuring a series of shots I took there on three different themes.

Week 2 of this series taken at Chirk Castle features people in the courtyard where I saw this group of girls enjoying lunch in the September sunshine.

The lady at the table on the left in contrast looks to be quite alone.

Wonderful picture of people having a great time, you picked a wonderful day to travel around.
Brian Walbey: It was a really war and sunny September afternoon Astrid.
I think she is waiting for someone to come back from the loo
Brian Walbey: I'm far too much of a gentleman to be able to comment on that Bill.

I think she's the Nanny, Brian. grin
Brian Walbey: She sort of has the build of a nanny without being too unkind Ginnie.

Make the best of the sunshine whilst you can gals!
Brian Walbey: It was a nice place to sit and enjoy lunch Chris.
Some people like their own space, and some people can't handle being on their own.
Brian Walbey: You are right Richard.

Sensible idea Brian to take a photograph before you make your move.
Brian Walbey: I'm far too old for that sort of action Chad.
Nice candid!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.

An interesting candid shot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray.
Nice candid capture Brian. She certainly wants to join the group!
Brian Walbey: You do get that feeling Richard.
A great candid capture Brian. Looks like they are certainly having a lovely time. Although the lady on the left in the black does not look to impressed about something. Perhaps she wanted to be part of the group.
Brian Walbey: Yes there does seem to be a sense of her listening in or wanting to be part of the group.
I think the baby stroller belongs to the lone lady, Brian, and if the jacket hanging on back of the chair doesn't belong to her, there is probably another person somewhere about. Great candid!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Beverly. You could well be right about another person.

A good candid, Brian. It looks like the lady on the left is consoling herself with (yet) another bottle of Coke!

Good to see Wales in the sun.
Brian Walbey: We actually had a lot of sun that week Alan. Thanks for your comment.
Great candid shot Brian, normal outdoor girls. Not a mobile phone or Ipod in sight.
Brian Walbey: Yes the latter makes a change Martin.
Aha the tea rooms, the most important feature of any NT property smile
Brian Walbey: They do some nice food at NT places I agree, the cream teas at Calke Abbey are delicious.
She looks to be enjoying the general chat thats going on Brian..Good people shot.
Brian Walbey: I think she's enjoying listening in Ron.
Hopefully we will all be sitting in the sun like this soon, good candid Brian smile
Brian Walbey: Yes a bit of sunshine would be nice at the moment Linda.
everything stops for tea, or coffee nowadays
Brian Walbey: It does as far as I'm concerned Derek.
