(North Wales Notebook) Around Porthmadog 2/5

This is the final week of images from our holiday in Porthmadog, North Wales in early September and for that I am returning to Porthmadog where we started out a few weeks ago.

The other side of the road from the harbour where yesterday's image was taken from is a large lake which is also tidal and here we are looking towards the Snowdonian mountains skirting it on the Northern edge.

Great scene .Do you know what the large roof is?
Brian Walbey: Thanks vintage. If you look closely you can see some quarry plant in the trees and that is a large building associated with the processing of the stone.

This is a great landscape Brian....my paternal Grandmother "Annie Hudson" was born somewhere in Wales....so now i have had a great tour of it thanks to you....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Glad to be of service Peter, there is a lot more of Wales than this small area and most of it is very attractive, but different from area to area.
Lovely scene Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, it is a nice outlook from there.

North Wales scenery takes some beating Brian..Lovely.
Brian Walbey: It does indeed Ron, although I quite like what we saw down your way when we had a week at Builth Wells some years ago.
I will visit this area later in the year smile

Not sure if it's my old eyes playing tricks in the gloom but this doesn't look as sharp as it could be to me. Nevertheless a nice landscape.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid. The original, pre-upload, is sharp so it might be the S.C.bogeyman at play once again.
Very lovely view!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Marion.
