If you remember on Wednesday I said to remember the image centre right on the collage. As with yesterdays posting this is the same area 2 1/2 hours later when the tide had gone out. One can walk for miles along the sands being careful, of course, not to get cut off by the incoming tide. Once again this is a proper HDR made up of 3 bracketed exposures taken in to Dynamic Photo HDR for combining and Tone Mapping before finishing with a touch of Topaz in CS3.
My Monday posting came before a judge who is regarded as one of the best in the Midlands, and who judges in the higher echelons, at my club on Tuesday night. He immediately classified it as "chocolate box" which meant it was no longer worthy of serious interest besides which it had a very poor sky and lacked anything in depth of colours. Also this one from last year was a waste of time because, nice as the church looks, it is too far from the camera, the gate should have been open, and anyway it hinged on the wrong side so why bother to have taken it. How can a guy like this get to be a judge at high levels, he has been talking rubbish like this since I first saw him twenty odd years ago, he certainly doesn't have much imagination in my opinion and glories in the fact that he still uses film nearly all the time. Good job after 40 years in clubs I've got broad shoulders.
