(North Wales Notebook) Plas Newydd 3/5

We had a weeks holiday in Porthmadog, North Wales in early September and so for the next few weeks I will be featuring a variety of images and collages, and a mix of subjects, which I hope you find entertaining.

As my notes on Monday said Plas Newydd is situated on the Anglesey side of the Menai Strait and there is a very nice walk along the garden terrace above the waters at the edge of the gardens.

Tomorrow you will see what one gets a very good view of from this terrace, although seasoned travellers will no doubt have guessed already.

Your series has made me want to go there Brian. I'm interested in seeing the Welsh Highland Railway
Brian Walbey: Nice to know I have sparked an interest. We didn't go on the WHR, too expensive, but we drove alongside it on the while route down through the mountains and saw just as much.

This looks lovely and I wish I was there now.
Brian Walbey: Yes I wouldn't mind being there now Chad, in the right weather conditions.
A very civilised looking terrace for a gentle stroll
Brian Walbey: It is indeed Martin and tomorrow you get to see the view.

I love that you are always out-n-about, Brian, and that we get to go along for the walk!
Brian Walbey: If you look in tomorrow Ginnie, and I know you are not a Thursday erson these days, you will see what we saw just to the right of the camera in this shot. This was a lovely spot to walk in.

I like the shadows in this scene
Brian Walbey: Yes they give quite a nice base to the image I feel Chantal.
Like Chris, I must visit at some time, you are doing a great job for the tourist office smile
Brian Walbey: A good place to go John, we have already discussed the photography limitations of course.

Looks a fine place for a gentle stroll on a lovely summer's day as shown here.
Brian Walbey: It is indeed Alan and tomorrow you will see what is just out of picture on the right.
A pleasant walk again Brian. Not many folk about though.
Brian Walbey: It was indeed Ron, and we were lucky, not too many people about in early September.
Very nice Brian. Looks like a good place for wildlife
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet. To be honest we didn't see much wildlife there at all apart from a few birds in the trees.
This is one place I have not been, it looks a really good walk, I look forward to the view smile
Brian Walbey: It is a very nice spot to stroll in the sun Linda.
Looks fine for a morning walk!
Brian Walbey: It was indeed Tom, and a nice place.
I used to go to Anglesey with my job at one time and it was always pouring with rain. One day I would like to visit again!
Brian Walbey: We are angry we didn't venture further on to the island, another time perhaps.
lovely shot and walkway
Brian Walbey: Thanks Derek, it is a nice place to walk.
