photoblog image (North Wales Notebook) Beddgelert 2/5

(North Wales Notebook) Beddgelert 2/5

We had a weeks holiday in Porthmadog, North Wales in early September and so for the next few weeks I will be featuring a variety of images and collages, and a mix of subjects, which I hope you find entertaining.

This is one of the most photographed items in the village of Beddgelert, indeed Ron (Mully) featured it recently after his visit to the area at the same time as us.  Sadly we didn't know about that else we could have arranged to meet up and renew our acquaintanceship follwing the Stratford meet.

There is another old machine used as a flower stand which I will show tomorrow.

For U.K.members only:- If you watch BBC2 this evening at 6.30pm.the Michael Portillo railway journey programme includes a visit to Chirk Castle near Wrexham from where I will be presenting a longish series in a few weeks time.

Wonderful I love the colours and the textures captured
Brian Walbey: Thanks vintage.
Hi Brian... Wonderful backdrop for the flowered wagon that's for sure. I've taken pix of only one wagon so far but it has pumpkins around it @

Nice village capture Brian, and good use of an old seed drill I think smile
Brian Walbey: I suspect this is the photographic centrepoint of the village John.
Wow, when I retire I would like to live in a pretty, cozy estate like this. Very nicely captured Brian!
Brian Walbey: It is busy in the summer with oodles of visitors Marion and, no doubt, snowed up in the winter so might not be so attractive all the time.
This is a nice display Brian..and far more colourful than the one I posted..Well done.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron, it just depends what is growing at the time one is there.
Lucky residents who live here, Brian. What a delightful spot this is and you've picked the perfect spot from which to capture it, too.
Brian Walbey: Many thanks Beverly.
It looks a really quaint and pretty village Brian and very well kept smile
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely spot as your Dad will agree Linda and a very big tourist trap, hence the tidyness I suppose.
Very pretty Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Sheila.
Great picture postcard stuff Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, and see my comment to your Wednesday picture about picture postcard.
Mmm - excellent image, but the village strikes me as a bit poncified smile
Brian Walbey: Well it is kept very clean, smart and tidy Tom as it is a very popular visitor destination in that part of Snowdonia.
