photoblog image Sudbury Hall 4/6

Sudbury Hall 4/6

Sudbury Hall is a National Trust property near Uttoxeter just off the A50 between Derby and Stoke-on-Trent.  It is well worth a visit as it also houses the Museum of Childhood, an interesting collection of toys, games and activities from over the centuries.

Next to the hall is the little church of All Saints, shown here from two different angles and it has a very long history dating back to at least the Doomsday Book.  A wealth of information about the church can be found here

It's a handsome church Brian. From the weblink it sounds as if the old Victorians gave it a bit of a facelift smile
Brian Walbey: I think the Victorians done a lot of church changes Bill. It is a lovely church, the inside is my shots for tomorrow.
Two nice views of the church, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Many thanks Sheila.

I like the upper photo very much; it's worthy of being seen on its own at a larger size. It looks to be a beautiful church.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan. I am showing the inside of the church tomorrow and Saturday.
Top image is exceelent ... you certainly know your angles Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard. This is how one first sees the church and it is an ideal angle.
Its a very nice church, does the road/path ring all around it smile
Brian Walbey: It's a delightful church Linda. I believe the path does go most of the way round.
Nicely presented duo showing front and back of this historic little church, Brian.

Nice presentation, Brian. Close enough for me to visit, I think!
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Tom. I'm hoping to meet Bill and his wife here next year, it is only about 35 minutes from us on a good run.

Brian Walbey: It was very peaceful John despite being only a short distance from the A50.
