Beacon Hill is one of the highest points in Leicestershire and is just a few miles from Loughborough. It has excellent views out to Nottingham, Derby and the Peak district Hills. A lunchtime picnic and walk in June allowed me to take this series of images.
Looking East through the trees from one flank of the hill one can see for miles across the Leicestershire countryside. The buildings in the distance are the villages of Sileby and Mountsorrel and past them the hills lead away towards the Melton Mowbray area.
