'Scene' in Dorset - Corfe Castle 5/6

Thankyou to everyone who looked at, and commented on, my postings while I was away last week.  As usual the comments were as pleasant and entertaining to read as usual.

This "longish" series comprises a variety of subjects and shots I took during our April visit to Dorset for our nephews wedding.

This just about sums up the main features of a country village, the telephone box, the parish church and the parish notice board.

I couldn't resist having a play with this one.

You are certainly highlighting a feature that is in regrettable decline these days Brian
Brian Walbey: Very much so sadly Chris.
A fine twiddle Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill.

Makes you wonder who will buy up all these obsolete phone booths, Brian. I do hope they stay around forever...somewhere! The clock towers will never become obsolete, I hope!
Brian Walbey: There are still quite a few of these phone boxes about Ginnie, look in next Monday to be pleasantly surprised.

Dr. Who I presume? smile
Brian Walbey: Lol. He must have been hiding whilst we sat nearby eating our lunch Scarlet. Perhaps he was in the church grin
perfect use of selective saturation
nice job
smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob.
Nicely done Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks John, I felt like a play with this one.
Yes indeed Brian. I expect the pub and the shop aren't far away. Nice composition
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, and the touristy bits are not far away either.

A timeless image, Brian; even the Gilber tScott phone box counts as old in my view! Viallge notice boards alwatys make interesting reading to see what the locals get up to.
Brian Walbey: I always enjoy reading village notice boards Alan, they reflect what the life of ordinary people is really about.
Yess, a village scene. I believe a lot of the red phone boxes are being removed and sold, and being replaced by the open green "helmet" shaped ones.
Brian Walbey: They are getting fewer in number Sheila but you will see some more on Monday.
Nice bit of colour popping, Brian. I think you missed the village shot, though smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom. Corfe has been done to death Tom and is full of double yellow lines outside the most attractive buidlings sadly.
nice shot and sellective colouring here
Brian Walbey: Thank you Derek.
Lovely colour pop Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Pamela, I felt like having a play with this one.

Très joli, ppour moi cela correspond à l'Angleterre de John Steed de la série télévisée Chapeau Melon et Bottes de Cuir.

Belle journée
LoLO
Brian Walbey: Merci beaucoup pour votre LoLo commentaire. Brian.
