'Scene' in Dorset - Corfe Castle 3/6

This "longish" series comprises a variety of subjects and shots I took during our April visit to Dorset for our nephews wedding.

In the centre of Corfe Castle is the Bankes Arms Hotel.  The original building was built in 1549 and it has a long history since then which can be found here

Sadly all the main parts of Corfe are surrounded by road signs and road markings which takes off some of the authenticity of pictures taken there.

We are in Suffolk until tomorrow, I will catch up with you all at the weekend.

I agree with you about the signs in Corfe Brian. Considring the place is more or less owned by the NT you'd think they would bear this in mind
It's the double yellow lines that are the most annoying! Lovely old building Brian

I share your frustation about modern signs and road markings, Brian. Very difficult to get any decent shots of olde-worlde viallges now without the 21st century clutter! This is a fine view, though.

Do you ever see the BBC2 "Mary, Queen of Shops" series? the little shop on the corner just off to the right was featureed 2 - 3 weeks ago,
Brian Walbey: Yes I did know about that shop on the T.V.Alan, sadly I rarely watch her, she's too metropolitan elite for me, a bloody know-it-all and as you'll guess by now she does my head in!
An attractive little town. Love this building. Nice shot Brian
Great old building - nice shot, Brian.
Together with a scale sized pint of ale to go with it Ray smile
