'Scene' in Dorset - Parley Manor 3/5

This "longish" series comprises a variety of subjects and shots I took during our April visit to Dorset for our nephews wedding.

The side of the manor house at Parley had this lovely entrance porch and the archetypal country type dog relaxing on the lawn outside.

The trouble was when my daughter Caroline, a dog owner herself, came along the dog seemed to go all silly, much to her amusement.

I am loving these inset images, Brian...very tastefully composed!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ginnie.
Great fun shot Brian. Caroline is definitely amused!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.
I think your daughter Caroline must have total dominance over the male species Brian ;-)
... and obviously her middle name is not Victoria

richard
Brian Walbey: No her middle name is Angela, most of the time she behaves like one I believe.
Perhaps he thought she was drinking that funny stuff which is an invitation for people and dogs to get silly.
Brian Walbey: I think it was her second glass of Pimms Janet, no wonder she was laughing.

Yes, you need to a dog like this to go with such a house; a toy poodle, for example, would look daft. Perhaps the dog does similar with all strangers - including burglars!
Brian Walbey: It might well Alan, it wasn't othered by all the wedding guests on the lawn.
Just another old dog going silly over a young woman smile
Brian Walbey: Is there a moral in those words somewhere Tom grin
I think he wants whats in that glass, lovely playful shot, love that porch smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Linda, it was a glass of Pimms I believe.
Two nice shots.
Obviously Caroline is a "dog person" and that dog recoginised the fact and submitted to her at once.
Brian Walbey: Caroline has two English Bulldogs, perhaps this dog could sense that as you suggest Sheila.
Yes definitely a ploy for titbits, it must work well with the visitors. Great entrance.
Brian Walbey: I liked the entrance porch as well John, there were people sitting in it hence the strange angle of the shot.
LOL Is it only dogs she has that affect onsmile
Brian Walbey: No she definitely has that effect one her fiance who she marries next April Nigel. We men never can dismiss a pretty face can we grin
classic.
insert adds that touch of drama.. smile
Brian Walbey: And a touch of humour as well I think Rob, my daughter was really amused at the dogs behaviour.
