photoblog image 'Scene' in Dorset - Hurn Court 4/4

'Scene' in Dorset - Hurn Court 4/4

This "longish" series comprises a variety of subjects and shots I took during our April visit to Dorset for our nephews wedding.

A small stream off the main River Stour on the Hurn Court Estate has a good selection of trees on each bank and this is a reflection of one of them.  There is also a swans nest just out of the picture on the right, sadly the swan didn't feel inclined to lift its head for me to get a decent shot of it sitting on its nest.

very nice reflections Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tony.
A lovely reflection shot Brian
Brian Walbey: Thank you Bill.
Why didn't you rotate this Brian ? ... lovely

richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard. The trouble with the rotate would be the river bank not looking right upside down.
Great reflection in the flat water.
Brian Walbey: Many thanks John.
It makes a great mirror Brian.
Brian Walbey: I could have used that water as a mirror to comb my hair Ron, if I had much left that is grin
very nice, turn the whole photo upside down and mess with us.. smile
Love this shot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: That's very nice of you to say so Mary.
Now that's what I call a perfect reflection. Well done.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Sheila.
i have seen this technique used before to concentrate on the reflection and it works really well, nice shot
Brian Walbey: I'm not usually this lucky with reflections Derek, thanks for your comment.

a wonderful, clear reflection in the stream- and I see a dragon-fly sitting in the grass!
Brian Walbey: Many thanks Philine.
I think that this reflection is very good especially as the water was perfectly still.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Chad.
Good reflection shot,Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.
Perfect reflections Brian smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Linda.
Nice reflection. I would have cropped it even more so you end up only with the reflection and some grasses.
Brian Walbey: I did try several crops Paul but wasn't really satisfied with any of them. Truth is I probably should have thought more about it when I took the shot.
