photoblog image Bradgate Park - 6/10

Bradgate Park - 6/10

I have featured Bradgate Park, near Leicester, before but not the southern end at the village of Newtown Linford.  We took a walk there with the grandchildren in early April and this series will give you an idea how lovely it is, and different from the northern end.

Looking back towards the Southern entrance to the park in Newtown Linford the River Lin can be seen meandering its way through the park and the rocky and tree covered hillside on the right is in distinct contrast to the Northern end of the park that I featured in April last year.

This is my 700th.post since joining Shutterchance.

First of all, Brian, congratulations on your 700th milestone. I had no clue what my number was and just checked: 803. Wow. Don't you love how we get to carve these notches on our walking sticks. grin I'd take a walk with you any day.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, as I said the other day this isn't too far from Tracy's should you ever venture here again, and there is a couple of nice places for lunch a short stroll down the road.

Brian Walbey: Thanks Les.
Another nice shot and also congratulations on your 700th
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much John.
Despites you tried to position everything well, I feel there is something wrong in the composition (or something odd). I just cannot say what exactly.

Perhaps the big tree blocking a part of the waterfall and the empty grass field at the right.
Brian Walbey: I feel the same about the tree Paul, not one of the better shots in the series but I wanted to show how lovely the park is generally.
