photoblog image Bradgate Park - 2/10

Bradgate Park - 2/10

I have featured Bradgate Park, near Leicester, before but not the southern end at the village of Newtown Linford.  We took a walk there with the grandchildren in early April and this series will give you an idea how lovely it is, and different from the northern end.

Further into the park from yesterday the River Lin narrows down in its winding route through the park.

You can't beat a good stream rushing through Brian!
Brian Walbey: Indeed not Chris, the children love this, we had to fight to keep our little Granddaughter away from the edge.
Kids will always find fun where there is water and this setting is perfect for fun and make-believe adventure..
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Sheila, the whole surroundings are lovely.

Looks like a good place for them to run and let off steam (not too much noise, though, please!). The like the S bend in the river with the way it winds between the trees.
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely area of parkland Alan and covers all sorts of terrain. You would quite enjoy Bradgate on your bike, plenty of cyclists use it on all sorts of bikes.
Such a pretty place..Would love to see it in the sunshine Brian.
Brian Walbey: Some of the later shots in the series have better light on them Ron.

Brian Walbey: What a shame you never got to see all of Bradgate Linda, its is so different in the various areas, how about Steve brings you back for a weekend break one day smile

Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.
Looks quite wild, nice location.
Brian Walbey: It is all left to stay natural as far as possible John although there are Park Rangers who do the necessary when required.
It must loook lovely at the moment, Brian.
Brian Walbey: It looks lovely at all times of the year Tom as the seasons change.
