photoblog image Bradgate Park - 1/10

Bradgate Park - 1/10

I have featured Bradgate Park, near Leicester, before but not the southern end at the village of Newtown Linford.  We took a walk there with the grandchildren in early April and this series will give you an idea how lovely it is, and different from the northern end.

Whereas the Northern end of the park is open ground the Southern end is more closed in and shortly after entering the park this large pool, part of the River Lin, comes into view.

Nice place to wander with a camera by the look of it Brian
Brian Walbey: The trouble is Bill it is difficult to find a picture here that hasn't been done many times before.

I love that you have these memories with your grandchildren, Brian. They will never forget them...nor will you.
Brian Walbey: I took quite a few of the grandchildren, you will see one of them in a few days time with our little Lauren.
Looks lovely Brian. I love those ripple-distrubed reflections.
Brian Walbey: This pond is quite a popular spot Sheila, children like to paddle their feet in the shallow bits.
looks like a lovely spot
well done
smile
Brian Walbey: It is very nice indeed Rob.
What a lovely place. I feel like having a walk there!
Brian Walbey: I just know you would enjoy a walk at Bradgate Richard, this part is like this but the other big areas I have showed before are wide open spaces.
Looks like a good place to visit, an interesting looking river, nice shot.
Brian Walbey: Thanks John, this is just on the doorstep of Leicester so as you can imagine is very popular for families.
This is very pretty and looks well used.
Brian Walbey: It is probably one of the most visited places in the Midlands Mary, we have three large cities nearby.
Beautiful capture Brian, as you know we loved walking through this park smile
Brian Walbey: Of course you and Steve will be familiar with Bradgate Linda, enjoy the series.
Lovely spot for a stroll Brian. The reflections look great
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, this is only a small part of the park as you will see.
Doesn't look as if it was on aSunday ... too few people.

Looks a delightful place, Brian; I see others think so, too! I like the reflections on the surface of the water.
Brian Walbey: It is lovely Alan, and very busy in the good weather.
Picture postcard beauty Brian
Brian Walbey: Many thanks Pamela.
I would like to explore this place Brian..Very inviting.
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely area of parkland Ron but sadly a bit too big for you, and me, to walk all that far. Linda and Steve are familiar with it through living up this way.
Thanks for the series. A lovely park for photographing or to make a walk with the children.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Paul, a lovely, and very popular park.
