Church Visits - 2009 1/15

During 2009 I visited 15 churches and featured some of them occasionally on SC. in part.  This series will cover all of them, and for this series you will see that I have used a common theme of layout and presentation for each, which I hope you will enjoy, together with a short piece of sacred music that I hope you will find time to enjoy also.

This is the main church in the large town of Tamworth in the Midlands and a brief history can be found here

I visited this church with a friend and to our delight a gentleman in the church took us round and explained all the prominent features to us including the crypt which has been turned in to a centre where young people can meet for coffee and relaxation.

This is a postcard to send, you did a fabulous job by capturing this wonderful church, you must have had a wonderful time with the guided-tour, it is nice to meet people who like to tell about things they love.
A great collage.
Brian Walbey: It was a good church visit Astrid, you must try and find time to visit a few of our churches during your stay over here.

This is a good way to show many facets of a church at once, Brian. I do like your collages!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I said to Chris, one down, 14 to go, I hope people don't get bored.

Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Rob.
Very nicely presented Brian, a good way of showing the detail.I had often walked past this church on my visits to Tamworth but, to my dismay now, have never been inside.
Brian Walbey: We actually went to Tamworth so my friend could show me where he used to "spot" in the Fifties but now you can't get near the place so as we both like churches we went here instead, a good decision.
A really nice collage Brian..Presentation perfect.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron, one down and 14 to go.
Excellent presentation Brian, lots to look at smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Linda.

I went passed this church myself last year and photographed it with my little compact, when i got home and put them on the computer though they were rubbish so i discarded them. Nice to see it captured well at last. smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Dave. My friend and I enjoyed our visit here, it wasn't planned, we were on an old times trip to where he used to watch the trains when he was a lad.
Very nice Brian, I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Sheila, I hope you don't get fed up before it finishes.
Beautiful presentation Brian
Brian Walbey: Many thanks Pamela.
