photoblog image Cheviot Hills 3/4

Cheviot Hills 3/4

2009 Retrospective - I had a number of images I took last year that I would have liked to have posted on SC but time didn't allow.  For the time being I am posting a number of these, in no particular order, which I hope you will enjoy.

During our July holiday in Northumberland we had a ride on the Heatherslaw Light Railway, which I featured in September, http://brianaw.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Heatherslaw_Light_Railway_/

The railway runs alongside the River Till at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and this was taken through the glass window of the moving train.  This is the third of the images I will be posting from this train ride.

Jolly good for a jigsaw puzzle or postcard. And jolly good for being taken through the window of a moving train.
Brian Walbey: Yes it might make a good jigsaw picture Sheila, thanks for your comment.

This is why I love train rides, Brian. I see so much but I don't always get to take good shots like this!
Brian Walbey: Fortunately this one wasn't going very fast Ginnie, unlike some of the trains where you now call home.

Good looking little brook, Brian. Nice post.
Brian Walbey: It wasn't a little brook a few days previously Ray, it flooded and the railway track was under water apparently.
Feels like a beautiful summer day.
Brian Walbey: It was a lovely warm July afternoon Mary and after the train ride the party we were with found a lovely tearoom garden to sit in and relax, a pensioners delightsmile

Such a lovely idyllic scene. I love the hint of the puffy clouds along the top.
Brian Walbey: The scenery is lovely all along this stretch of the river Chris. Thanks for your comment.
