photoblog image Arley Arboretum 2/4

Arley Arboretum 2/4

2009 Retrospective - I had a number of images I took last year that I would have liked to have posted on SC but time didn't allow.  For the time being I am posting a number of these, in no particular order, which I hope you will enjoy.

After visiting Bill at the Clent Hills last spring we went on to Arley Arboretum in the Severn valley the following day.  The previous shot on 5th.January was taken from behind this spot looking through to the bed of tulips.  Here the gate leads out into the the parkland area of gardens and trees.

A lovely shot Brian; it makes me pine for spring!
Brian Walbey: Give it a few more weeks Chris and Spring will be upon us.
I'll be glad when we get spring...although we saw some snowdrops at Hanbury hall yesterday!
Brian Walbey: So will I Bill, I will have to look and see if our snowdrops are out.

Tulips...and what an invitation through the gate into the gardens beyond! One day I 'spect to see this with my own eyes, Brian. smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I hope you do see it for real, but even if you never do get there you will see the view beyond if we ever meet because I will give you a copy of the Audio/Visual I made of this garden and our visit to Clent with Bill.
Nice shot Brian, and that gate entices you to see what is beyond.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Sheila, it is lovely beyond.
So lovely and refreshing Brian. Spring is not that far now!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, just a few more weeks now to Spring.

Ah!! One of the few flowers I can recognise; a fine display. I like the open gate as well and the view beyond. The only thing that jars is the electric cable but that;s not your fault, of course smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, the beyond is very nice. I hadn't noticed the cable till you mentioned it, funny that.
I was wondering Brian, what kind of micro climate you had with blooming tulips... smile
Brian Walbey: This was April last year David, hopefully we will all have another fine display this year, wherever we are.
Nice shot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Tom.

Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Charles, this garden is tucked away in the depths of the Severn Valley near Bridgenorth.
The inviting doorway with gate left ajar, just venture through.
Brian Walbey: Perhpas one day you will Chad, it is a garden well worth visiting.
