photoblog image Heatherslaw Mill

Heatherslaw Mill

2009 Retrospective - I had a number of images I took last year that I would have liked to have posted on SC but time didn't allow.  For the time being I am posting a number of these, in no particular order, which I hope you will enjoy.

The Heatherslaw Light Railway I have recently featured, and the River Till beside which it runs,  are alongside the Heatherslaw Mill and this was taken from the bridge over the river at Ford Forge. Apart from the restored mill there is a tearoom, visitor centre and plenty of walking.  More details can be found at here

The Till is in a bit of a hurry...late, perhaps, for a very important date?
Brian Walbey: It is a fast flowing little river Ray, a few days before it had burst its banks after some heavy rain.

Brian Walbey: Not sure what it would be right now at this place Ron, it might even be a lot brighter than it is where I am today.

Is this where they have "trouble in t'mill", Brian? smile A lovely summery scene and your mention of a tearomm makes me think that it is somewhere that I need to visit!
Brian Walbey: Lol. You would enjoy this I'm sure Alan, there isn't really a lot to do but it is quiet and in the country, and very nice in the sunshine.
A wonderful sight to see today Brian, very nice smile
