photoblog image Cheviot Hills 1/4

Cheviot Hills 1/4

2009 Retrospective - I had a number of images I took last year that I would have liked to have posted on SC but time didn't allow.  For the time being I am posting a number of these, in no particular order, which I hope you will enjoy.

During our July holiday in Northumberland we had a ride on the Heatherslaw Light Railway, which I featured in September.  http://brianaw.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Heatherslaw_Light_Railway_/

The railway runs alongside the River Till at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and this was taken through the glass window of the moving train.  I will be featuring three further images from this train ride as time moves along.

Wonder what it looks like today,I love that row of trees
Brian Walbey: Thanks Conrad, i suspect today it will still be under snow.
The line of trees seem to echo the line of clouds. very nice Brian.
Brian Walbey: I hadn't noticed that Chad, it was a case of shoot what I could from the train without thinking too much about composition.

I never made it to the Cheviots; a week up there is not not long enough. Plus, the always seem to be under snow and I was concerned about getting stuck. Looks like they are snow free in July, though!
Brian Walbey: It was a lovely July afternoon Alan, I bet they oook good in the snow though.
Nice memories Brian
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Janet, a nice afternoon.
Nice colours and a cracking view, i could sit there happily with a fishing rod and a flask of tea. The clouds are very striking, i like to pretend they're snow covered mountains in some far distant land smile
Brian Walbey: My son would happily sit there with you dave with rod and line. Thanks for your comment.
A lovely landscape picture Brian. i like the fence leading up from the river.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, hopefully people will like the other three in this short series.
I like this shot a lot, Brian. I love studying clouds.
Brian Walbey: It was a good afternoon for clouds Mary, thanks for your comment.
And I do enjoy it Brain, a grand landscape.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Les.
