Best of the Cotswolds 3/7

When I posted my three week set of collages of the Cotswolds in August/September several of you said you would like to see several of the images full size so I make no apology for repeating those ones and a couple of my more favourite ones from the set.

This is the altar, reredos and window in the church of St.Mary in Lower Slaughter, and is one of the images I was asked to show again.

Thank you for showing this again, Brian. It bears seeing all the finer details of the stained glass and tapestry...let alone the stone and wood work.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, they really used to put a lot of work into these old churches didn't they.

That tapestry is magnificent Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Tony, thanks for your comment.
Superb Brian. I like the depth of the image!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
Lovely window, set in what looks like a plain and simple backdrop.
Brian Walbey: It was a simple but very atrractuve little village church Sheila.
You are getting ever closer to my home Brian.
Brian Walbey: I hadn't realised before we went that you lived not far down the road from here Chad, we could have called in or joined you for a coffee somwhere, another time perhaps.

Yes, I very like this pic, esp. the glass windows and the floral ornaments of the altar cloth- surely a quiet, spiritual place!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, it is indeed a very nice little church in a lovely little village.
The colours are lovely in this image and that's a really good tapestry.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Linda, the whole area round the altar is nice.
Lovely shot Brian. The colours are terrific.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Janet.
I always enjoy churches Brian. This is a lovely shot
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. If you like churches you might be in for a treat in 2010, about March time I reckon when I get the pictures sorted.
