Best of the Cotswolds 2/7

When I posted my three week set of collages of the Cotswolds in August/September several of you said you would like to see several of the images full size so I make no apology for repeating those ones and a couple of my more favourite ones from the set.

Taken on the platform at the Gloucester Warwickshire Railway at Toddington these two were enjoying a quick lunch break before driving the train down to Cheltenham Racecourse station and back.

l saw the hat and immediately thought "Village People"

great street shot Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tony, this is a genuine English engine drivers hat.
I saw the hat and thought 'engine driver'!
Brian Walbey: He could only be an engine driver with a hat like that Ian, thanks for your comment.

Tin foil!!! it would have been greaseproof paper.
Brian Walbey: Ah that takes me back Chad, with egg and tomatoe sandwiches inside, my favoutire.
well earned break, good candid Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Linda.
Nice one Brian , they look like a comedy double act.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Michael. The younger chap had stuck an "L" plate on the buffer beam just before this so perhaps they are some sort of comdey duo.

Lol at Zed - he looks an unlikely candidate for Village People! They look like a pair of characters out of Midsomer Murders to me.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: However they look Ingrid they were very nice when I asked them if I could take their photo enjoying their lunch.

Good to hear that they get a break; the grime from their hands adds t othe flavour os the sandwich, I should think. wink
Brian Walbey: Nothing like a sandwich with a blob of Castrol sauce Alan, only joking of course.
It is a good one Brian. Well worth a second look.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron.
A little time for relaxation before continuing the days work. Nicely captured Brian.

Doing just what the volounteers do best Brian, a quiet moment, a quick bite and then back to work. Wells spotted.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Les, I wouldn't have minded being on the footplate with them.
You've been taking lessons from Mr. Trim. Well done brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Sheila, Richard wants me to do it in mono with a sepia touch, I have and it looks quite good.
