A Yorkshire Weekend - Hebden Bridge 2/7

We had a weekend away in mid-September and visited among other places Hebden Bridge and this week this series will concentrate on a few shots of that small town.

My second shot of the Rochdale Canal, now fully restored, is further along from yesterdays beyond the lock in the centre of town. This gives a good idea of the way the streets of mill workers cottages used to run in parallel down to the edge of the canal.

Beautiful restoration here, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I was very impressed with this building Ray, mind you I have cloned out the T.V.aerials smile
This is another beauty from this series. Light is perfect. So crisp and clear. I am guessing that you're happy with the G10
Cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob. yes I am well pleased with the G10, except I'm not getting the DSLR out at all now.

There's a wonderful texture to that stone Brian - and I see you hada lovely clear day
Brian Walbey: It was lovely on bot the this Saturday and the Sunday when we went elsewhere Chris, you will see that in two weeks time if you keep looking in.
Super jigsaw puzzle or calendar picture Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Bill. (I enjoyed the number email by the way, I will send it on to quite a lot of people, with my name of course smile )
The type of local stone in Yorkshire gives the building a hrad feel in my mind Brian. Not that they are unnatractive of course but more gritty.
Brian Walbey: I know what you mean Chad, but this light hepled to pick out the slight roughness in the stone.
The place has been beautifully restored Brian! I like the light here.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I think it has been converted in to flats, I cloned out the T.V.aerials but not the satellite dish.
That G10 works well Brian.Think i will get rid of all my stuff and buy one . It might save me hassle in the future.
Brian Walbey: I'm really pleased with the G10 Michael, it does RAW and all sorts of stuff, I'm finding I don't get the DSLR out at all at the moment. Canon have now brought out the G11, more or less the same but 10Mp instead of 14Mp.

Superb lighting again , Brian. I bet those buildings have had some TLC on them.
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Alan, the buildings did look as though they had been spruced up, I think they are flats now.
Great reflections so clear, lovely Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Linda.
Very well taken Brian..and again love the pping.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ron.

Another excellent picture Brian, although I still think yesterday's will take some beating for atmosphere.
Brian Walbey: You might well be right Ellie, but hopefully you will look in and see more of this delightful Yorkshire town during the week.
Very nice Brian. It's got that fresh, just rained feel about it.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, fortunately it hadn't just rained, it was a lovely sunny day.
