photoblog image An Autumn Walk in Clumber Park 6/7

An Autumn Walk in Clumber Park 6/7

On 9th.October we paid another visit to Clumber Park, near Nottingham, a National Trust property, and had a nice Autumn walk along the lake and back through the woodland.  The light was excellent and, using the new G10 once again, this weeks postings are a few of the shots I took on that walk. Details of Clumber Park are at http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-clumber_park-2 .

Heading back now and well in to the woodland path, which is flanked by lots of very interesting trees, I thought these people were nicely positioned within the frame.  No need for my favourite model in this one.

Very colourful, Brian. I like the folks in the frame as well.
Brian Walbey: It would have been a bit empty with no=one on the path Ray.
The people add to the scene and help give this scale. As you say, they are nicely positioned.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, it would have been empty without the people I think.
Looks nice. I bet the kids have a lovely time kicking up the leaves.
Brian Walbey: There is certainly acres of forest and open spaces for the children to run in Sheila.
Lovely Brian. This make a great Saturday morning stroll.
Your autumn is much ahead of ours!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I thought this might be your sort of place for a Saturday stroll.
Very nice spot Brian, and the sunlight and shadows make it for me.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, it is a lovely place to go.
It's nice to see folks out enjoying the fine weather.
Brian Walbey: Sadly it poured with rain the following day Mary, we were very lucky.

Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob.
Amazing colours and the winding path makes me want to go walking smile
Would make a super postcard Brian, its full of warmth and gives that cosy feeling! I love the Autumn Winter months for photography, so long as the weather stays dry there's some cracking scene's to be had..
Brian Walbey: Thanks Dave. With Autumn and Winter light it is low giving good shadows and very clear without any haze I always feel.
Those trees are huge in the background, its nice to see people enjoying their stroll, the sun light is lovely.
Brian Walbey: This was a great morning as I said before Linda, and yes, those trees were enormous.
You have some wonderful Autumn shots Brian...Our leaves have all gone now with the wind and heavy rain.
Brian Walbey: Once they start falling then it is all over for us photographers isn't it Ron. Thanks for your comment.
Excellent Brian. richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
