An Autumn Walk in Clumber Park 1/7

On 9th.October we paid another visit to Clumber Park, near Nottingham, a National Trust property, and had a nice Autumn walk along the lake and back through the woodland.  The light was excellent and, using the new G10 once again, this weeks postings are a few of the shots I took on that walk. Details of Clumber Park are at http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-clumber_park-2 .

Entering the parkland the main feature is the chapel that I have featured before on Shutterchance and most people tend to head off in that direction as it leads to the lake and the woodland.  This is the same chapel I featured recently here http://brianaw.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Clumber_Park_Gardens_And_Chapel_/

It's a beauty of a place and image, Brian. I would love going on your photo hunts! smile
Brian Walbey: I, and no doubt many others in the U.K.,would love to have you and Astrid with us on a photo hunt Ginnie, especially at this place, as you will see if you have time to look in during the week.

You really can't beat a good autumn day like this for colour Brian: the church looks grand
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, this was a lovely day. It is a grand church, photos not allowed inside though, I only managed to take 4 without the flash smile
With all the autumn colours it must have been difficult to know where to point the camera.
Brian Walbey: I took quite a few Sheila, hopefully I have picked the best for this series up to Sunday.
Wonderful composition Brian. The tones are superb!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
The low sun certainly makes for great colour.
Brian Walbey: I couldn't have asked for better conditions Chad, the light was great, the following day was just rain so we picked the right time.

I think I've learned something from this picture - good to have the light from behind you, it really "makes" the colours doesn't it
Brian Walbey: You have a good point Ellie but in some places it was difficult not to avoid ones own long shadow, because of the low light, in the base of the picture.
very tranquil.

richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, it was a great morning out, being a Monday there weren't all the weekend hoards.
Lovely autumn colour and glow here Brian, but that spire is leaning a bit......
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, for the first bit, slap my wrist for the second bit, it's only a tad of the vertical though, I nearly got away with it smile
What a spot.
Beauty abounds.
Nice shot Sir!
Cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely place Rob, well worth a visit if you ever get to the U.K.
