Alnwick Gardens Cascade

Fast becoming one of the places to go in Northumberland Alnwick Gardens are very attractive, and the centrepiece is this cascade, not unsimilar to the one at Chatsworth House.

Every half an hour there is a water display of the fountains and water jets, but of course it is very difficult to get any photographs of this without other people in them.

The website for the gardens is at http://www.alnwickgarden.com/

I am once again featuring a few collages this week but then, I promise, not for quite a while, as I know some of you like to see individual pictures instead, so please bear with me a little longer.

This looks absolutely charming Brian: I must go there one day
Brian Walbey: I'm sure you would enjoy a visit here Chris.

This is a beautifully prepared montage, Brian.

Of course not unsimilar [there...I tried out this unusual combo of words, too] to the quality of all your recent work.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ray.
Beautiful. Like the collage. Well presented as usual. If the people cannot be moved, I like the way you've just integrated them. It's sometimes better that way. So many variables.
Cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Rob.

On the larger template, Brian, you can get away with these collages. smile Yes, very nicely presented!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Gnnie, and for telling me about the larger template.

Somewhere I plan to go when I'm up there for my New Year break.. assuming they are open then! Hopefully, it will not be so crowded.
Brian Walbey: According to the link I put in Alan they are only closed on Christmas Day although winter opening times are slightly shorter. Enjoy your visit.

Bottom left image gives this a sense of scale, large and stunning
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tony.
We went to Alnwick castle about 20 years ago Brian. Don't remember the gardens! Looks great
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. It is only in recent years that the Duchess of Northumberland has had all this work done to restore and open up the gardens.
Looks like a nice place. You've done well with the Cascade.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Sheila.
At it again then Brian, fine set of pictures, I would say you have this mode of presentation off to a Tee.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Les.

Wonderful Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much vintage.
Alnick is a fine town with a fine castle Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is indeed a fine place Chad and you will see bits of the castle here on Wednesday.
A wonderful presentation Brian. Well done indeed!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.

my favorite is the water shot.
Brian Walbey: Yes I like that one as well Jennie.
My goodness they are keen on the water displays up north ... Would have thought that with all the rain they get that they would have had enough water.

well presented Brian.

richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard. Fortunately there wasn't much of the rain type water while we were in Northumberland.
Expert Job and what a lovely view it is too.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Martin.

We lived very close to Alnick in the 1980s but this garden didn't exist then. It does look very impressive. The collage does look much better in this bigger size!
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid. I think it is only recently that the Duchess has organised this refurbishment but it really is now just a great big tourist trap to be homnst.
This is also veryyyyyyyyyy nice.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Paul, this is now one of the popular places to visit in the North of England.
