photoblog image Seahouses Shoreline 1 of 5

Seahouses Shoreline 1 of 5

This is the first in a new series of images I took during our July holiday to Northumberland.

The small coastal town of Seahouses has a lovely beach and looks out to some small islands a short way out to sea.  This is one of five images taken from almost the same spot, but each with a slightly different viewpoint.

Nice shot Brian, looking forward to the rest of the series.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Grahm, the picture this week are all taken not far from this same spot.
A fine place to sit and enjoy the view of the Farnes Brian, Nice one.
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Les, thanks for your comment.

Excellent!

Those benches have a wonderful, permanent, view.

Love the foreground tangle of heather & grasses, too.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, it seems a few people would like those grasses cropped out though, but not me.

I can see a few of us SCers sitting there and having a lovely time together, Brian! smile
Brian Walbey: That would be lovely Ginnie, with a picnic basket and Northumbrian bacon butties and a nice bottle of el vino smile
I enjoyed Seahouse when I visited it Brian. Good reminder.
Brian Walbey: Glad to have brought back a memory Chad.

I like your dramatic sky here Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Chris.
Nice picture of a fascinating place (and area). I like it.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Sheila.
I guess those are the Farne Islands. Did you brave the boat trip ? We didn't but Kathryn did
Brian Walbey: They are not actually the Farnes Bill but some sort of offshoot I think. We didn't do the boat trip but some of the party did. Vertigo and boats don't go together!
Lovely shot Brian ... I might have cropped out some of the grass in the fore ground.

richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard. I didn't want the horizon across the middle so it was more sky or more foreground. I chose the latter in this frame.
Just superb Brian. You captured it so well!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.

Good view of this beautiful coastline, though I think I agree with Richard here - a bit less foreground and more sky might have worked better.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid. it was more sky or more foreground, I chose the latter as the sky was a bit flat at the time.
lovely shot.
a step closer to the benches would be awesome..
Cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob, maybe I should have got just a bit lower down behind the benches.

Really pretty spot for a holiday.
Brian Walbey: It's a lovely coastline all along this part of England Mary.
I imagine a path running along the front of the benches...and what a lovely view. I think I would have cropped some of the base off, for a more panoramic scene. A good view point though Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron. There is a path along in front of the benches all the way to bamburgh further along. It was more sky or mor foreground, I chose the latter as the sky was a bit flat.
la imagen tiene unos colores, claridad y textura impresionantes.
saludos.
Brian Walbey: Gracias muchísimo para su comentario agradable.
Ah heaven, a bench to have a sit down on and admire the view.
Brian Walbey: We enjoyed a lovely quiet sit here Janet before the will to photograph drew me off!

BEautiful scene and brilliant processing ~!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Mariana.
You see that is what I like about the area; glorious scenery yet few people to ruin it.
Brian Walbey: Couldn't agree more Alan, trying to photograph in Haworth last Saturday was hopeless.
