Cotswold Collages - 8/15

I took a lot of photos during our trip to the Cotswolds in early July.  I am now presenting photos of the area in a series of 15 collages over three weeks which I hope you will enjoy.  They have been mixed up a bit to hopefully retain your interest and each individual photo has been processed using Topaz.

Broadway Tower is one of England's outstanding viewpoints and at 1024 (312m) above sea level, it is the second highest point on the Cotswold ridge. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, high in the rolling Cotswold Hills, Broadway Tower surveys an expanse of some of the very best of the Cotswold countryside in a 62 mile radius.  More details about the tower can be found at http://www.broadwaytower.co.uk/

Today we are travelling on a train excursion from Loughborough to Kingswear (Devon) and return which is going to take all of 17 hours, ie depart at 6.35a.m.and return at 11.20p.m..  Understandably I will hope to catch up with your postings and comments tomorrow some time, I suspect a lay-in might be called for tomorrow morning though.

Thanks for the link Brian. Tad odd looking structure though, beautiful state of preservation though
Brian Walbey: It has certainly been well looked after Tony.
Have a good trip Brian. I have passed this tower many times!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. The trip was good and we came through Droitwich. I was particularly impressed with the oil refinery looking place almost next to the station, what a wonderful bit of architecture to welcome visitors to Droitwich through the rail gateway to the town smile

I've often seen this tower from afar but never been up close. It's set in some beautiful countryside - love the view with the gate.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ingrid.

Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, we had a good day out on the train.

Hope you trip is ok
Brian Walbey: Thanks vintage, the trip turned out to be very enjoyable.
Nice tower Brian, I would like to see more of your pictures in full size , as in rather than in 4's so I can get a good look at it. As they seem quite interesting. The UK is some place I must visit, as I i feel i would enjoy the history of the place more so that london city.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Michael. I tend to do collages if I have quite a few shots I would like to post rather than a seemingly never ending series of postings that just seem to go on. I am sure you would enjoy the U.K., London is obviously good but some other parts of the country are very interesting and attractive,
An impressive looking tower Brian. Did you go inside?
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, we went inside but didn't climb up to the top.
There are a few of these scattered about Brian..This is nice.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron.

I very like the collage of these photo's- the overview pic in the centre could be a bit greater- it is wonderful and shows the beautiful English landscape with a range of greens I myself experienced and so love! The building looks extraordinary and very interesting - oh yes, I would like to see the Cotswolds again!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, I am glad you find our country so interesting, I gather you had a great time with Bill et al a few days ago.
