photoblog image Shadows At Bradgate Park

Shadows At Bradgate Park

I featured a series in April which included a set of photographs taken in Bradgate Park, Leicestershire during February.

This image was taken on the same occasion and has been helped along just a bit by the use of Topaz.  It is the really low light that has really helped give the long shadows on which the picture depends.

I like especially the jaggedly lines of the shadows from the fence on the right. Topaz has made those colours really stand out.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Alan.

Nice result Brian, trying to decide if its cowpats or mole hills in the grass? Wonderful shadow capture.
Brian Walbey: I think they are probably mole hills Graham. Thanks for your comment.
Good strong colours and I like the zigzagging shadow effect.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Janet.
Your so right Brian...this is excellent. My hat is off to you.

Fine zigzagging shadows and different lines are giving the pic a geometrical/graphic character. I see the moles hardly/heavily working! It might be a bit uncomfortable to walk across this uneven (hoppelig) meadow!
Brian Walbey: I think it is moles Philine, it adds to the shadow shapes though all those little humps.

Nice colours, just hope the wall does'nt spring a leak.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin, there is a largish drop behind the wall to the water thankfully.
