Bourton-on-the-Water last Friday 3 of 5

We spent Wednesday to Friday in the Cotswolds at Bourton-on-the-Water last week.

I took this series on my compact early last Friday morning before there were too many people about and the weather was o.k.  The family were going to get out of my way but I asked them to continue their walk as I thought it worked better than an empty bridge.

Hopefully you will see some more shots from this short holiday as the year goes on.

Love the dominance of all the varied floiage in this series, Brian. Obliging family helps out here, too.
Brian Walbey: They didn't mond having their picture taken which was good Ray.
Lovely photo, the trees really are lovely in this place. The family does add something to the picture.
I'm amazed that Health & Safety have put up some ugly barriers each side of the bridge to stop little Johnnie falling over the side.
Brian Walbey: Don't even suggest the barriers Sheila, it would ruin the place and I'm sure there would be uproar. Thanks for your comment.
You should make a film entitled, 'the Bridges of Bourton on the water'. See if Meryl Streep is doing anything.
Brian Walbey: I'll ring her tomorrow Chad, will you be her leading man?
A fine family capture on this beautiful bridge Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
Bourton really is chocolate box heaven isn't itsmile
Brian Walbey: It is when there are only a few people about Bill, and of course sunshine, and a touch of Topaz , help as well.

Brian Walbey: They won't get to see it unless they find my blog Graham. Thanks for your comment.

Surprised that the Heath & Safety police have not been there and demanded hand rails on the bridge or erected huge signs saying "DANGER OF DEATH -DO NOT CROSS WITHOUT WEARING A HIGH VIS VEST OR WITHOUT AN ESCORT"!!
Brian Walbey: These bridges are so famous that I hope any council jobsworth would be frightened to even contemplate your suggestion Alan.

The family crossing the bridge make the picture for me Brian
Brian Walbey: They wanted to hold back but I said I didn't mind them being there Tony, it would have been empty without them.

Sometimes a few signs of human life makes the shot, like here.
Brian Walbey: It certainly does Louis, thanks for your comment.
