photoblog image Kedleston - The River

Kedleston - The River

So to finish off my third series of pictures from our Kedleston Hall visit I am showing you the main part of the river that can be seen from the house which is some way away to the right.

It is altogether a very nice place to visit, next time we will go in the house which I am told is beautiful.

In the mean time here is the link once again for details of how to visit http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-kedlestonhall

Really like that you have given 60% of this image to the tangle of grasses in the foreground, Brian.
Brian Walbey: These grasses were just spoiling to be the foreground Ray, thanks for your comment.

l can see why people go there for a picnic, very pleasant area indeed
Brian Walbey: The whole place is lovely Tony, wouldn't it be nice to have a worldwide Shutterchance picnic here on the banks of the river.
This series should boost visitor numbers Brian.
Brian Walbey: You might well be right Bill, and Alan is following up with a series from here in a week or twos time as well.
I agree with Ray on this one. The river is nice, but the grasses are superb.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Sheila.
A wonderful perspective on this so pleasant place Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
A lovely view, Brian. As said by others, the grasses make the image. If you've finished your series now, perhaps I can have a go in a week or so! smile
Brian Walbey: I will look forward to your pictures Alan, no two photographers see things in quite the same way.

Looks like a lovely spot to sit and watch nature.
Brian Walbey: It is a beautiful spot to sit and watch nature Mary, mind you the couple on the grass just out of the picture to my right were more interested in other types of nature!
A nice peaceful English scene Brian. That looks like algae on the water
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, yes this particular area of the river was quite covered in algae.

This is an inviting picture for a lazy sunday stroll.
Thank you.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, if you have time to look back at the whole week you will see that the whole place is a wonderful place for a stroll or picnic, whatever. I said to someone else it would be nice to have a worldwide SC picnic there on a sunny summer day.

Brian...smile....I came back for a second visit....please book a room for us if there is a SC reunion....Ginnie and I will be part of that huge occasion...
Your pictures are just a delight, so is the environment.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, we shall certainly go here again to look in the house next time. We have lived near here for twenty years and have only just managed to get there this year. I shall remember, lunch with Astrid, Ginnie and A.N.others at Kedleston Hall one day smile
This has got to be my favourite shot Brian. Beautiful spot.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ron.
