photoblog image Easter Monday Country Fair 5/5

Easter Monday Country Fair 5/5

On Easter Monday we went to a country fair at Thrumpton Hall, not far from Junction 24 of the M1. I took a lot of shots but rather than spread them out over a long period I am presenting a selection of them in five collages this week.

This is the final collage in this series and I felt I would have another go at some people shots down among the burger, chip and pancake vans, surely a very important part of any event like this.

Another important part of any outdoor function is of course the loos, here nicely presented in green.  For you Australian viewers these are the "dunnies!"

If you are not looking in over the weekend then have a good one, otherwise I hope you will have time to look at my weekend offerings now that the collages have finished for a while.

Nice!

I like the jaunty tilt on the dunnies, Brian. Actually, I think you might have saved this shot for a full-size feature when you are done with your montage pieces o this event.
Brian Walbey: I had thought about that ray but decided the food, drink and loos went together somehow, without being too descriptive smile
another good set.
I am good with the montage effect, especially when the "food them here surrounds the "dunnies". classic. Making them colour also tells the story
Cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob.

I'm beginning to think that fairs are basically same all over the world, Brian! Another "universal language"...or experience!
Brian Walbey: You are probably right Ginnie but usually a lot of people put a lot of hard work into organising these events.

This is such a recognizable view....a universal thing, wonderful shots, the one with the toilets is just fun grin....
Wonderful collage.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, I thought the toilet one might raise a smile or two.

Lol a the title - I'm glad you didn't elaborate on the etc part!
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid. I thought etc.was enough in this case :-D
The traditional English habit of snacking wherever.
Brian Walbey: That's right Chad and I can inform you that the chips were 1st,Class.
Nice collage Brian. You capture very well the "ambiance"!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I fortunately didn't capture the ambience near the loos thank goodnes :-D
I like the idea of all those eating pictures and then the loos! Is this a comment on the catering?
Brian Walbey: Not really a comment Bill the chips were great and the burgers looked good but this was an after lunch visit so we snacked lightly.
Very nice people shots Brian ... perhaps you ought to try using a long lens for such challenges. cheers richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I agree about the lens but, lazy me, I hadn't got it with me that day.
Looks a great day out although not much sunshine...but the loo's are quite colourful...and amusing. Good one Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron, it was a good afternoons entertainment.
All doing just what comes naturally, an interesting set of images from the Fair.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Les.
I like this very much. Memories of antique fairs on the village green - good for the public but miserable for the stall holders.
Brian Walbey: It must seem a long day being on a stall at one of these events Sheila, still that's how some people make a living.

lol Australians have more sense than to go into dunnies that are leaning over
Brian Walbey: I think the saying "As needs must" applies to toilets like these Tony smile
Great shot of the dunnies Brian : smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Pamela, could this be the very first "dunnie" picture on SC I ask myself.
