Oaks-in-Charnwood 6/6

My final shot from St.James parish church, Oaks-in-Charnwood was taken outside and I found this gentleman enjoying a few minutes peace and calm on his own in the churchyard.

It is so quiet in this village of no more than 3 or 4 houses and a church that I can imagine this would be a lovely place to sit and contemplate whatever one wishes to contemplate.

Starting tomorrow is a series of images taken even nearer to home.

l have never lived in a place with less than 10000 inhabitants, l cannot even imagine what it would be like to have peace and quiet all year around
Brian Walbey: I've never lived anywhere as quiet as this tony, I suspect it could be a bit lonely at times.

Best of series, Brian.

Is that gentleman using his ice-box as a foot-stool? [grin]
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray.
This feels as if it could have been shot in the 1960's. Nice one to end the series Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill.
A wonderful and peaceful image Brian. The tones are superb!
Brian Walbey: I thought the B&W was better than colour for this one Richard. Thanks for your comment.

Your describing words are wonderful, and while looking at your pic I can imagine the calmness..., I very like the tree shadows at/on the wall of the church stones- I find the English churches always look like built for the eternity- very stable and weatherproof/-beaten!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, English churches are so different as one travels to different areas of the country, but they are mostly all very attractive.
fabulous shot Brian, peace and solitude my ideal daysmile
Brian Walbey: You won't find anywhere much quieter than here Tim.
