photoblog image A Walk in Bradgate Park 4/5

A Walk in Bradgate Park 4/5

On the other side of the path I walked to obtain the first three images this week from Bradgate Park, near Leicester, is Cropston reservoir, taking its name from the village nearby.

It is quite a large area of water and the main road in the area runs across the dam you can see in the background of the shot. Severn Trent Water actually run this reservoir and it is purely there to supply water to Leicester.

Very peaceful Brian
Brian Walbey: It is peaceful Chris although at Bank Holidays it is a bit like Southend with loads of people.

So good to see a reservoir with plenty of water our dams are just strugling to 58%.
Brian Walbey: I've never seen the water level down in this reservoir vintage, but I have read that you are having shortages of water over there.

Nice lighting in this image, Brian.
Brian Walbey: As you've seen from the series so far the light was lovely on that afternoon Ray.
Another superb lighting here Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I was so lucky that afternoon.
Very pleasant scene Brian. The trees are catching the light nicely.
Brian Walbey: I took lots of images of these trees Janet from all sorts of angles, as you say the light on them is lovely.
I can imagine it would be very relaxing there..with the table to rest at. Nice lighting Brian.
Brian Walbey: A lovely place to relax Ray, especially for us retired peopleduring the week when the children are at school.
Did you picnic on this bench Brian.
Brian Walbey: No we didn't picnic on this bench Chad but there is a nice cafe further on and we enjoyed a welcome coffee there instead.

Another pretty view - hope you had time to sit down and relax!
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid, one doesn't sit and relax with a twenty month old and a seven year old pair of Grandchildren with them I'm afraid, we did squeeze in a coffee at the tearoom though.
Great place to walk along with the camera as you did. Great series.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Albert.
