photoblog image A Walk in Bradgate Park 2/5

A Walk in Bradgate Park 2/5

If you turn to the right from yesterdays image taken in Bradgate Park, Leicestershire you will see this view laid out in front of you.

These are just a few of the hills in the park, there are some higher ones, complete with a folly, in the Southern area of the park I hope to show on SC another time.

Details of the park can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradgate_Park

Looks a wonderful place Brian. Wasn't this the park that they wanted to drive the M1 through back in the late 1950s, early 1960s? There was a programme about on TV a few weeks ago, and the people of Leicester kicked up such a fuss that they rerouted it.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: I didn't know about the M1 thing Ingrid, we didn't move up here until 1989 but nothing would surprise me. The park has three distinctly different types of landscape in its large area, perhpas one day I will get to show more.
The light is superb Brian! The colour of the background reminds me of Madagascar!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, this wonderful light and the colours go right through this week.

Looks to be a lovely place to spend a few hours, especially in the light seen here.
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely place Alan with three distinctly different types of landscape in the whole area.
A great place to walk about enjoying Nature and taking great shots like this one.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Albert, it is a very popular place for people from miles around.
Those trees will be bursting into leaf anytime now. Lovely richness to this image.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much, I hope you get the opportunity to look at the rest of the series this week.
Yep...lovely light. Went ut today and the light was flat as a pancake. Took some pictures but they are going to need help...unlike this which is lovely
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, the whole series has this sort of light. I am working on a set I took when we went to a Country Fair yesterday at the moment, for a few weeks time.
A peaceful scene Brian. The colours are gorgeous. Nice one
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron, it was certainly a nicer day than today (Wednesday.)
