photoblog image A Walk in Bradgate Park 1/5

A Walk in Bradgate Park 1/5

I've fallen behind with posting current work after spending 3 months showing my old monochrome pictures.  The Garden Centre series over the last two weeks has helped catch up and this week will be a series all taken on 28th.February.

North West of Leicester is Bradgate Park, from where I have shown images before, and there is a variety of different types of scenery within the parks 840 acres.  We took our grandchildren there for a walk and this weeks pictures were all taken at the Northern end of the park.

The light was that beautiful low and clear light that you get during the winter and really lifted the colours of the surroundings, and gave nice long shadows,  as you will see.

You can tell the world is starting to wake up, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Ginnie, this was a lovely late winter afternoon and today has been a nice Easter Monday here as well.

This looks like lovely winter light Brian
Brian Walbey: It was gorgeous light Chris as you will see as we move through the week.
The magic light that you get when the sun is about to set but during the day. Great.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Albert, if you manage to look in all week you will see how the light was kind to me all afternoon.
A big park at 830 acres, and with light like this your fingers must have been twitchinggrin
Brian Walbey: My fingers "twitched"n 68 times that afternoon Bill the light was so great, as you will see during the week. It is a very big park and has three distinctly different sorts of landscape in it. I did manage to take a few pictures of the Grandchildren as well while we were there.

The light certainly is beautiful - I think winter is most beautiful when it's like this.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Ingrid, you will see during the week how lucky I was with the light that afternoon.
The people in that House must have a wonderfull view? Lucky Sods.
Brian Walbey: The house is right in the middle of this great big park Martin, I suspect it would be a bit eerie at night to live there.
This really is a picturesque place.
Nice image
Cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely place Rob, you will hopefully look in and see a bit more of it during the week.
