photoblog image At the Garden Centre (8/10)

At the Garden Centre (8/10)

A close up of some of the pots stacked ready for sale at the second Garden centre I featured last week.

I like the colours of these pots and the shine giving a nice reflection in the right hand pot.

They clearly have been through the kiln, Brian, which is such a wonderful art form.
Brian Walbey: It was the shapes I liked Ginnie as well as the bright colours.

I used to be addicted to these but I've kicked the habit now! You have captured the shimmering colours very well.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: My wife and daughter have a bit of a garden pot addiction I'm afraid, I just get to lift them from here to there smile

You've captured these textures very well Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris.
Well spotted and captured Brian. I find it looks like a planisphere.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.

I would not have thought that a garden centre would provide such a wealth of opportunities. Not somewhere I normally go to as it usually preceeds having to "gardening"; an alien concept for me smile I like the strong colours in this and the rich glazes. Well seen.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, I'm not a gardener either, fortunately Maureen has green fingers.

Nice colours. Not sure I'd be brave enough to take my camera around the garden centre - did people look at you strangely while you were taking these shots?
Brian Walbey: I got very odd looks at times harv and an assistant asked me what I was up to for last Tuesday's shot, I showed him the image on the camera, he still thought I am stupid I suspect.
Excellent picture Brian..The colours and form are exceptional..Well seen.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron.
Mmmmm! Colors, shapes and textures brilliantly captured!
Brian Walbey: Thanks José.
This makes a fine almost abstract pictur.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chad, that is more or less how I saw it.
Most of my pots are full of hostas! Like this picture Brian, almost abstract
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, but don't you mean hostas and slugs smile
Nice image Bill. A shot that most people would have missed smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Pamela.
The colourful glazes are great and so is the composition. I like the almost kiss.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ian, and honestly I didn't arrange this myself, this is how it was.

OOoh, they're nice pots.

I like the way you're forcing me to look between them at one in the distance
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ellie, it makes a change for me to actually see a picture instead of following the stereotypes.
