photoblog image At the Garden Centre (3/10)

At the Garden Centre (3/10)

Taken at a different Garden Centre to the previous two pictures I liked the way these two rows of plants stood out among what was a mainly green area of plants either side.

The ubiquitous heather - not one of my favourite plants - it always looks too neat! The colours are great together.

We've just planted some more heather in our garden - the borders were looking a little bare and we've been told that it helps to ward of cats!
Brian Walbey: I don't know about keeping cats at bay harv but it looks nice when it has grown a bit.
A wonderful contrast. Nicely captured Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comment Richard.

Clever, isn't it, how garden centres know how best to set off "seasonal" plants.
Brian Walbey: They also know how to charge for them as well Ellie.

The splash of water tells us they are well watered as well.
Brian Walbey: Sometimes I wonder if they ever water plants in some garden centres we go to Aussie.
