At the Garden Centre (2/10)

At the same Garden Centre as yesterday I found this pile of bags of compost, and here I apologise to Richard as this is perhaps similar to a picture or two in his recent Groups series.

The chap working in this area came over to ask me what I was doing photographing these and when I showed him the result he went away, i suspect he thought I was a bit looney:)))

People often stop to see what we are photographing.
Many reach for their pocket phones with cameras.
I dred to think what they get as results.
Nice one
Rob
Brian Walbey: It's when one lies on the ground that the oddest looks come your way isn't it Rob. Thanks for your comment.

Keep doing it Brian: if for no other reason than it's niice to confuse other people from time to time
Brian Walbey: I reckon the bloke thought I was a bit dotty Chris.

isn't it great to confuse people, l used to be self conscious about my camera, now l usually have my monopod or tripod along as well, still self conscious but who gives a damn
Brian Walbey: As long as I'm not pointing directly at a person I'm happy Tony but that is the reason I do very little candid.
He probably thought you were spying for the competition!
Brian Walbey: You might be right there Bill.

It's amazing how defensive and bristly people can get when they see you out and about with a camera. Perhaps we should all carry ID badges saying we are official Shutterchance photographers! BTW I wouldn't like to have to carry one of these sacks - it would break your back.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Thankfully Maureen didn't buy one of these Ingrid, far to heavy for an old fella like me. This public photography thing is becoming a bit PC these days and it really annoys me.

(: We are an odd bunch aren't we! I like this shot - it's cheerful and springlike!
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comment Ian, its the odd ones that are the best.

Brian Walbey: High praise in deed Chad, I'm glad you like it.

Looks like a big steaming pile to me, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Lol Ray, no I can confirm it wasn't steaming.
A good compost/ition Brian. You do find them! I can imagine what they thought seeing you take this. Well done.
Brian Walbey: The bloke thought I was daft I reckon Ron. Thanks for your comment.
Never apologise oversomething like this Brian. Your series was a creation of yours and mine came from a completely different thinking process. So just go with whatever you like. After all we all use a suggestion of other people's ideas. It's that people use a different interpretation.

richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comment Richard.

It'd make a good advert for the manufacturer, and the garden centre too. smile

I wish they'd label the contents in cubic feet though, instead of litres. I can't get my head round the "how big is a litre of compost" idea. Can you?
Brian Walbey: Not the slightest idea Ellie, no doubt there is some E.C.regulation concerning the measurements.
