MONOCHROME MANIA - PART 3 #14

Pete

The final portrait from my days at my first Camera Club in the 1970's is a gentleman, instead of one of the ladies I have featured earlier in this series, which hopefully shows some equality of the sexes.

This is Peter, the husband of one of the lady members who was a very good photographer, and darkroom worker, in her own right.

(All of the pictures in this series were taken on B&W.film, developed and printed by me, and sometimes entered into Club competitions.  This is original monochrome work and the only digital bit is scanning the prints into Photoshop and preparing them for display here.)

Great portrait, boy hes well groomed
Brian Walbey: Thnaks zed, I used to have a beard but as needs must, Maureen didn't like it, so it had to come off.
Got a very theatrical feel to this ... great series Brian. richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comment Richard.
It does have the feel of the sort of picture you see in theatres alongside the cast members names
Brian Walbey: I hadn't thought of the theatrical touch you and Richard refer to Bill but yes, you both have a point.
Great portrait Brian. He could have been an actor!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, actually if I remember Pete was quite a quiet sort of person.
You have kept these old pic's in a fine condition Brian..This is excellent. I like the lighting.
Brian Walbey: THanks for your comment Ron.
Very nice B/W portrait Brian. He was a good subject.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, I seem to remember he had to have his arm well twisted to sit for us but it turned out alright in the end.

A fine-looking fellow. I hope he was pleased with your capture.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, I can't remember if Pete ever saw this picture, there were so many took on the night by all the members.

He's an intense fellow.
Nailed it nicely with a 1970's B&W film camera.
(I am trying to calculate what I was doing then...... Ah yes, I had a Minolta XGM SLR .... memories!!)
Nice image
Cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comment Rob, yes Pete was quite a serious fellow if I recall.

A very good portrait indeed, and an excellent b/w picture too, with a full range from darkest black through to bright white.

Excellent portrait! I like how his mouth isn't completely closed, adds more feeling
