photoblog image Lynmouth Harbour

Lynmouth Harbour

The second picture this week on which I have used the Topaz Adjust plug-in.

This was taken at the mouth of Lynmouth Harbour in North Devon in June, 2007.

This little coastal village is a great place to take photographs in, as is Lynton at the top of the cliffs above this scene.

Pretty village...lovely scene, Brian.

I think the image might be suffering a little from inappropriate twiddling on this occasion.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, I did suggest this week shouldn't be taken too seriously, the water has gone a bit OTT.
I think I must have stood in almost exactly the same spot for the picture I posted last April....Great minds think alike eh Brian?smile

Brian Walbey: I think we stood in almost the exact same place Bill by the look of your shot, I was lucky to have better weather. Gentle hint, don't be too aghast at what you find on my blog tomorrow!

Its not the way l would choose to remember places, but l do like the colour saturation effect
Brian Walbey: Thanks zed, I've had quite a lot of dubious comments but I did say not to take this week seriously.

Great looking village
Brian Walbey: Thanks vintage, way back in the 50's I think, there was a major flood here which done a lot of damage and sadly some people died.

I've been to both of these villages and my battery went flat just after I arrived. (it had been a long day)
Like the vivid colour effect on the water and boats.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Aussie, I'm sure you still enjoyed both villages even if your batteries had cries enough, they aare lovely places.
We have been there many times in the past..its the hill up to Lynton which was a swine with the cars of the 50s. The picture Brian is lovely...that is untill we see the original..so dont show it. I have changed a pi'c with Topaz and my wife did'nt like it..she saw the original. but this one she likes. You cant please them all Brian. Well done with this.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron, glad to know you both like this one. I won't be showing the original. We didn't go up the raod but parked at the top and used the Cliff lift.
plug in is a bit over the top, but seems to work quite well.
Nice scene. Composition excellent
cheers
Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob, I did suggest this would not be a serious week for my postings, just wait until tomorrow!!!
An excellent perspective composition Brian, but the colours are a bit overdone!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I meant to shake things up a bit this week as a complete change to my mono series, the last part of which strats next week. I am wondering what you will all say about tomorrows offering!!!
It certainlu gives a strange effect Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is unusual Chad but I quite like it, some don't as you will have noticed. Thanks for your comment.
I like this Brian, the composition and the colours. I went to Lynton and Lynmouth 4 or 5 years ago but the day was grey and wet so I returned with no decent shots.
Brian Walbey: What a shame about your visit here Pamela, it is a great place for photos. Thanks for your comment.
Glad to see you have a play with the plugin, Brian. Used ggently, it can give you some pleasing results such as shown here. I've got a week just up the hill in Lynton at the end of the month so hoping for some decent weatehr.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, there are so many possibilites with this plug in its difficult to reproduce the same effect again. Hope you have good weather while you are there, early Spring should be nice.
