In to the third week of this second part of my early mono work and I hope you like this picture taken during a Yorkshire holiday in the 1970's.
This is a great set of ruins with, once again, the opportunity to take plenty of pictures. Like a lot of other such buildings Riveaulx suffered with the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII. Its history can be read on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rievaulx_Abbey
(All of the pictures in this series were taken on B&W.film, developed and printed by me, and sometimes entered into Club competitions. This is original monochrome work and the only digital bit is scanning the prints into Photoshop and preparing them for display here.)
