MONOCHROME MANIA - PART 2 #10

Jennifer

Following on from my old Camera Club's studio session picture of Gillian last week this is a slightly older lady called Jennifer taken on another occasion.  On reflection I suppose, at the time, I did enjoy this type of work but now I don't, apart from endless pictures of my 20 month old granddaughter of course, soppy me.

(All of the pictures in this series were taken on B&W.film, developed and printed by me, and sometimes entered into Club competitions.  This is original monochrome work and the only digital bit is scanning the prints into Photoshop and preparing them for display here.)

So once again we reach the weekend, have a good one all of you, and I will return on Monday with the final week of pictures in this Part 2 of the series.

I am still in awe of your "history" with photography, Brian. You have been around for a long time! smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I started serious photography in 1971 so have been doing it for a long time. That doesn't mean I know everything of course and am a "wizz-kid" with the camera. I ahve been round a long time though, 65 in July, many more years to come yet I hope.

Another fine portrait Brian. LOL at Ginnie, a backhanded compliment!! tongue
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, I wasn't sure whether Ginnie meant age or experience, the answer to both is of course yes. Have a good weekend.

I think you are permitted to take many photos of your granddaughter; you can embarrass her at family parties etc later in her life. The hairstyle dates this, doesn't it?
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, I hope I am still around to be with her at family parties for a long time yet.
might be a small bit tight on the crop.
Nice and clear tho.
Lighting perfect!!
Rob
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob, in those days judges in club competitions liked portraits cropped this way, I tend to agree with you though.

Wonder if that hairstyle will ever be back in fashion. I have seen a few young girls with what was a Mary Quant hairstyle recently. Only remember because my mother had a fit when I had my very long hair cut into that style.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Aussie. I suspect in those days a girl losing her long hair was the equivalent of a boy having his curls cut off to a Mum.
Lovely natural portrait Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comment Pamela.
