The final picture in this short series of five religious buildings I have stored away in my Miscellaneous file is this one, taken in one of the side aisles in St.Albans Abbey.
This really is a magnificent building and when we visited a few years ago it was the first time I had been here since I was a child and of course I had forgotten how lovely it is.
They have their own website at http://www.stalbanscathedral.org.uk/index1.htm but if you are ever in the area, and it is only a short run off the M1 down the M10 to St.Albans, it is well worth a visit, and , for the ladies, there is a really good market in the town centre on Saturdays, plus of course lots of Roman remains in the Verulamium Park and Museum details of which are here http://www.stalbansmuseums.org.uk/Sites/Verulamium-Museum
Have a nice weekend everybody, back on Monday.
