photoblog image Autumn Colours

Autumn Colours

This photograph was taken in the early 70's on slide film in the woods at Sandy, Bedfordshire and this twig was no more than about 2 - 3 inches long.  I didn't have any macro equipment as I hadn't long been doing photography for a hobby so I just lay on the ground and focussed right in and move backwards and forwards until it was more or less sharp.

This is a reminder, with the weekend coming up, that Autumn is almost on the doorstep.

Have a good weekend, back on Monday.

It's a GOLDEN SHOT, Brian! I'm really impressed!!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Kavita, in our climate we are now getting these colours as Autumn comes on to us once again.
It has stood the test of time well Brian. And reminds us of when we could lie on the ground taking pictures and get up easily afterwardsgrin
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, even then Maureen walked away when I laid down on the ground, now she would need to help me up smile

Sadly I can relate to Bills comment only to well. Beautiful autumn colours, nicely captured way back then.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Aussie, sometimes it is nice to look at older photos, I might do some more if I can find time to scan them.

Glorious colours Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Paul, let's hope we get some colours like this in 2008 as the autumn goes on.

Amazing quality, and a beautiful photograph. LOL at Bill smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Paul, unfortunately, as regards laying on the ground time and age have got the better of me now I think smile
