photoblog image Canoe Triangle

Canoe Triangle

This canoe picture was taken at Llanberis, North Wales last year and the number 10 canoe was featured in my posting of 14th.February http://brianaw.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Number_10_/ .

I put this picture in a Triangles competition at my Camera Club but unfortunately it wasn't considered worthy of an award, just like the earlier version. That's life.

I wonder why the number 10 was written twice. Perhaps the original was deemed too small.
Brian Walbey: Your guess is as good as mine Chad.
Well I like it Brian, if that's any consolationgrin
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, some others seem to like it as well.

Life is full of disappointments - we just have to keep on trying! I think it is a creative interpretation of the triangle.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: I entered this in a triangles competition at my Camera Club Ingrid, without success I might add. Thanks for your comment.
What do THEY know?
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comment Mary.
They probably said ''What's a canoe without a paddle ...''

Hate to say this Brian ... but I don't think these are canoes, more like a rowing boat.

richard
Brian Walbey: I think you are probably right Richard, I will try harder next time.
ha was just reviewing yours too Briansmile excellent composition/crop.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tim, a slightly larger crop on a photo I posted some time ago of the number 10 on its own.

As someone who has never received an award for anything, nor won a competition, I can say ha! to such things (notice how competitions are not important to those who have not won ha ha)

A terrific photograph in my opinion, for colours, composition and reflection as well as your artistic interpretation.

Pah! Take no notice of the judges, Brian - they know nothing! I've just entered a photographic contest in the Mad House's staff magazine and despite getting 5 images shortlisted, none of them made the top 3! No doubt someone from our Internal Communications team will have won - again sad

Your image is lovely, though.. a very pleasing composition.

Beautiful colours Brian. Ignore the judges.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Aussie, I always do ignore the judges, after nearly 40 years I don't think any judge could say anything I haven't heard before. Sometimes I put in photos I just know they will hate for the fun of it :-D
