St.Mary's Steeple

Taken at about 8 p.m.on the evening of our arrival in Tenby the spire of St.Mary's church was catching the evening sun whilst the rest of the area around was in deep shadow. Being as it was a church I couldn't avoid taking this could I.

Have a nice weekend everybody.

Some things are open invitations, Brian, and this is one of them! The magic touch.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I just couldn't avoid taking this.
A sumptuous colour, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chad, I was glad I had a camera with me, I think it was the only evening in the week it was like this so I was very lucky.

Oh wow! Amazing colours! Your framing to isolate this works very well. Good capture, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I must admit to cropping quite a bit off the bottom Alan, thanks for your comment.

Lovely light Brian, that stuff you'd like to be able to bottle!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, it just so happens I have three bottles left over in the shed, not Chris's shed though, don't get mistaken!
In the lovely red of an evening's light - no you couldn't resist Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, the other nights that week were not like this so I was very lucky.

great stuff, few things are more glorious than the colours from the setting sun, apart from sometimes a rising sun.
Brian Walbey: I'm rarely up early enough for the rising sun Padraig, except in the winter, but I do agree with your comment about the evening light. Thanks for your comment.
It's the best time of day for colour.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, it certainly was a good time for this type of light on that particular evening.

yes the evening sunshine has made the shot for sure Brian, lovely capture.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tim, this was the only evening quite like this whilst we were there.
That's an inspiring shot indeed! Lovely smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Pat, one of those occasions when a few minutes either way would have made all the difference.
