photoblog image Lady in a Hat

Lady in a Hat

Back to my Tenby pictures. When we arrived the local Round Table had a fun weekend on the beach and I noticed this lady and the big hat she is wearing.

Whilst not being my normal type of subject I couldn't avoid taking the shot, although I would have liked to have been able to isolate her a bit more.

I never did get to see what she really looked like.

Oh, how fun, Brian. I LOVE it! I especially like the vignetting here.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, as you will guess I used the vignette to cut out a lot of extraneous background.
Very nice Brian: I wonder if she'll ever get to see this?
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, I never really got to see what she looked like either.
I suppose you could clone the people in the background out but I think they actually add to the fun
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, there's cloning and cloning, this would have been quite a big job to clean up I think.

Brian Walbey: Thanks Tracy, I really don't know what you mean! Of course it was the hat, anyway that's my story!

She does indeed have nice....hat! Yes, a lovely hat.

I do think those pumps clash with the hat though...ha ha smile

I rather like the way you have presented this image, very creative sir
Brian Walbey: Thanks Paul, I didn't want the distraction of all the other people round about.

Tenby? There was me thinking of a veach in Rio or somewhere similar! LOL Well spotted, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, if you've never been to Tenby it has one of the best beaches in the U.K. IMHO.
I can see why this attracted you Brian, but I wonder why it says Javelin in it. Well seen.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Les, I didn't understand the Javelin bit either unles it is part of a welsh word!

They're rather a racy lot in Tenby! I like the subject matter - I think if you were unhappy with the other people you could just have cropped tighter, as I don't think that vignetting is helping matters. I personally don't feel the other people would be a problem - it gives context and she is sufficiently different to them to stand out!
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid, I felt that if I had left more of the other people in it would have taken the attention away from the lady and the hat, hence the vignette.
