Froghall #4

The final picture from Froghall on the Churnet Valley Railway shows one of the volunteers having a good old go with some sort of grinder/cutter. The sparks dictate the colour presentation for this.

Further information about the railway can be obtained from http://www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk/

Next week will be the third running I have featured a theme. It may not appeal to all, suffice it to say I will be presenting a series of photos of a magnificently ornate church in the English Midlands. Keep looking, and have a good weekend.

I like the angles of the wood/beams that frame this craftsman, Brian. And yes, you had to keep the color!
Brian Walbey: I found the beams intrusive when I took the picture but I realise now it frames the chap quite nicely Ginnie. Thanks.

Great colours here, love the way the fire-sparkles are flying around...great shot, nice job here Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, I'll have to try some more of this type of work in the future after the nice comments I have received this week.
Enjoyed the series Brian. Look forward to next week...it's not Great Witley church is it?
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, no it's not Great Witley, I will have to look that one up, but a clue is that is it in a small town midway between Stoke and Derby off the A50.

I like this, as a composition all those diagonals - including the sparks, work together. I can sense the concentration too
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ellie, it is better that he is concentrating on the work and not looking at the camera I feel.

Yes, the colour does this justice. The efforts of the volunteers are well used to preserve some of our heritage.
Brian Walbey: I agree with your comment about volunteers Alan. Thanks.
